How to Work from Home and Maintain Your Health

Many of you are back to working from home…again. Maybe you love it. Maybe some of you are starting to get a little stir crazy. How do you stay healthy while stuck at home? Here are a few things I recommend:

*Carve out a dedicated workspace – set up an official desk and video chat space where you can be uninterrupted.

*Create a schedule and endpoint – wake up on time, shower, make your bed and keep a regular work schedule complete with a lunch break! Make sure to have a concrete stop point to separate your personal life from your work life.

*Get dressed every day – you can have a more casual attire, but don’t start a habit of working in your pajamas. Getting dressed every day will help you get into a more productive mindset.

*Socialize with colleagues – you may not have that watercooler chat time anymore, but make sure you are having fun chats via Slack, text, or Zoom to keep in touch.

*Leave the house at least once a day – now that the weather is changing, getting outside is harder, but whether it’s for a quick walk or to fill your car up with gas – strategically set up your outings so you are getting some Vitamin D every day.
